Project’s TM2 at Turku, Finland

The Risksafe Project, dedicated to providing innovative learning tools for the wellness of seniors and caregivers, marked a significant milestone with its 2nd Transnational Project Meeting (TPM). This important meeting was kindly hosted by the Turku University of Applied Sciences (Turku UAS) on 12-13 June 2024 in Turku, Finland. The meeting brought together the project partners (COOSS, Frodizo, Hudiksvall Kommun, Turku AMK, InterMediaKT) to collaborate and achieve the project’s goals, particularly focusing on the welfare of relatives, migrants, and informal personal assistance involved in elderly care.

Throughout the two-day meeting, participants engaged in productive discussions focused on the main achievements of the project. One of the focal points was the finalization of the Baseline Report. This critical document outlines the current state of well-being for older people and carers and identifies key areas for improvement. This report expresses the foundation for the Risksafe Project to build its training curriculum and toolkit, ensuring that the resources developed are relevant and impactful.

In addition to the baseline report, significant progress has been made in developing the content of the training curriculum and tools. These resources are designed to provide practical, accessible training for caregivers, especially for the unique needs of relatives, migrants, and informal aids. The meeting attendees’ collaborative efforts resulted in valuable insights and shared strategies, which will enhance the quality and effectiveness of the educational materials produced.

The meeting also included detailed discussions on the dissemination plan and strategy for the project. Ensuring that the project’s findings and resources reach the intended audience is paramount to its success. The attendees outlined a robust dissemination strategy aimed at maximizing the impact and reach of the Risksafe Project’s outputs. With a strong foundation now laid, the project is well-positioned to move forward with the next phases, driving meaningful improvements in the wellness of seniors and caregivers.
